Guaranteed Transfer Universities

University Bridge students have a guaranteed pathway to nearly 150 universities. A guarantee means exactly that: meet the published requirements, the GPA, the recommended courses, and the deadlines, and you are admitted. Which guarantees apply to you depends on your UBridge campus, listed below by state. University rankings shown throughout this page are from U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Colleges.

California State University, Degree with a Guarantee (ADT)22

The Associate Degree for Transfer is the CSU’s “Degree with a Guarantee”: students who earn the ADT and meet CSU transfer eligibility requirements are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, though not necessarily to a particular campus or major. Some campuses and majors are impacted, meaning they receive more qualified applicants than they have space for. Applicants to an impacted campus or major may be redirected to another CSU campus offering a similar program, and transfer applicants receive priority consideration at the CSU campus local to their community college.

Priority admission: UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and UW Seattle

These four are priority admission, not guaranteed. The University of California gives community college transfer students first priority over all other transfer applicants at every campus, including Berkeley (#15), UCLA (#17), and San Diego (#29). The University of Washington (#42) gives its highest transfer priority to Washington community college students. UBridge students apply from the strongest possible position, and many are admitted, but admission to these campuses is competitive.

Verified July 2026 against the official University of California TAG, California State University ADT, California Community Colleges HBCU and AICCU agreements, Virginia Community College System GAA, and each partner college’s transfer pages. Schools that appear on more than one campus list are counted once in the total of 147. Lists change; always confirm current requirements with your UBridge advisor. University rankings are from U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Colleges: National refers to the National Universities ranking, Liberal Arts to the National Liberal Arts Colleges ranking, Regional to the Regional Universities ranking for the region shown, and HBCU to the Best HBCUs ranking. Schools without a listed rank are not ranked in the 2026 edition.
